Getting a Windows 10 VM image is actually pretty easy. June's developer VM images expired five days ago (on July 10), and despite several days of Boyette's angry tweets, the VM images are still missing. The images themselves are decidedly ephemeral-they expire each month, requiring devs using the program to download new, refreshed images. VMware provides a curated Microsoft software repository with the following ISOs for your use: Windows Server 2019 Datacenter Windows Server 2019 Language Pack Windows Server 2016 Datacenter Windows Server Datacenter (provides Microsoft Semi-Annual Channel Release) SQL Server 2019 Enterprise.
